In another high-sea operation, we loaded two 600+ MT coke chambers onto 250-class barges, navigating shallow waters over a 3,000-nautical-mile stretch. Prism Logistics also executed the overseas delivery of a 50+ meter-long SODC unit for a refinery project in Spain, strategically using barges to ensure stability in narrow and shallow waterways. Similarly, in the Middle East, we deployed 330-class barges for transporting 4000+ MT of cargo, which included bulk material handling, specialized lashing, and on-site in-plant shifting under stringent compliance norms.
Domestically, our barge-based transport of 1000+ MT transformers to North-Eastern India included jetty construction, chartering, and river-level stabilization, overcoming challenges like storms, fog, and seasonal low water. Another remarkable operation involved moving a 2000+ MT pontoon submarine from Gujarat to Andhra Pradesh using 60+ SPMTs and a 5799 DWT barge, supported by two tugs.
We also handled third-country logistics for exporting bullet sections from India to Bangladesh using 250-class barges, managing custom clearance, port handling, and freight forwarding in coordination with regional shipping lines. In Eastern India, our inland waterway transport of thermal powerplant equipment (400+ MT) and a 350+ MT transformer to a remote district in West Bengal showcased our ability to operate under infrastructure constraints like low-clearance bridges and tight access roads.
To support these complex operations, we utilize dry warehousing and cold warehousing as staging points for sensitive or temperature-controlled cargo prior to barge loading. We also implement easy load & SALSA systems to streamline loading and unloading procedures while reducing manual errors and delays.
